Dear Santa,

tonight i would like chippy dippy for supper. lays original with french onion dip.

and why not? i have all my Christmas cards to finish, and am tired of ordering in or bringing suppers from mumsie's. yes, you read that right, i haven't been cooking suppers. (and that's just the tip of it... keep reading)
in fact, this year may be my laziest advent season yet - and i don't even give a care. i'm 100% okay with the low-keyness of it all. especially after the last two years of engaged, newly married, first Christmas-y bonanza. we don't even have a tree up, just our stockings and a few of my special decorations. (okay hold the phone a sec - don't get all judgy on me - it's because we've moved twice since september and are still not in our "final destination" so it's a bit tricky to "home-make" without a real HOME.) there, i'm finished my "pot calling the kettle black" excuse.
so yes, this year i will ride the holiday wave: partake in celebrations without asserting myself as the bossy pants. eat the sweets; bake only a few of my own. open pressies; not purchase a thing. (call waiting again - friends and family have already been fair warned that jason and i aren't shopping this year, it's not our fault the condo we purchased 3 and half years ago finally closed yesterday and all our occupancy fees were due less than a week before Christmas!) where was i? oh yes... attend mass; not sing every hymn the whole way through. put on my Christmas pjs; not take them off for supper. yep, that's how it's going to go.
Merry Humbug!
Angela
