Let the countdown begin!
7 weeks from today I'll be a MRS. At this point we're on the final stretch of preparations and I'm embracing the idea of it all with each passing day. Ah yes, need I spend time on the emotional side here? When it is in fact all in the details...
Early Feb - Our mission: to dress the ladies
Karen and Janet both came home for a weekend and the Sisters and I went dress shopping. We chose stunning brown satin gowns (www.a6.dessy.com Bridesmaid Dress style A6258). Then we headed back to Dina Alonzi to watch the mom's try on gowns... what a fasion show! They both chose complimentary blue and sage gowns that are red carpet worthy. Let's be honest - next to me, the moms must look FABulous. We also got our save the dates in the mail that weekend.
March - Food, Tent & Entertainment!
We spent a great deal of effort on chosing the right vendors. A superb party must have the trinity in tact: 1. the right people 2. delicious food 3. a fun show. Below are my selections:

April - Time to dress the MEN!
Off they went to Freemans - ON THEIR OWN! That's right I wasn't there to supervise. Clearly then men chose the one Sunday I attended the CDC Competitive Showcase - something they KNEW I wouldn't skip had I've known their plans... well "snaps" to them cuz when I went to choose the colours for the vests and ties last weekend, I was pleasently suprised at their choices.
Also we got the invitations in the mail week of April 24th - my most proud accomplishment to date. They're simply perfect! Clean and elegant design, expertly worded (chez angela) and of course a touch of sparkle.
And now it's May
I have finalized the menu, chosen all the rentals (tables, chairs, linens, china, cutlery, glassware... etc.) and have started to solidify the floorplans for the backyard. But let's be honest - now that I'm at home, the most important part of my day is at 10:20am when the mailman brings me my little brown reply cards! OH! Don't i just delight in ripping them open to see who is coming to my party!! (so if you're reading this and you haven't replied yet... GET ON IT)
