i hate these types of questions. usually the question is, describe yourself in 3 words or less. groan. not even possible! same with multiple choice. really, one (meaning me) could provide a lengthy argument for all the options given and still be considered "right". you are required to break down your thoughts into the most meaningful representation you can offer - what exactly do you need/want to get across?
apparently my boy is brilliant at it. he has begun to "recount" his day. typically while in the tub soaking up the bubbles and aimlessly powering his motorboats around. he starts to get all contemplative! the baby babble begins to string words together, into almost full sentences. stories! he's telling me stories. of things that exactly happened that day.
so for all the non-mommy readers, i will fill (read embellish) in the blanks for him.
"baby. cry. aqua."
at swimming today there was another baby waiting beside us. she sure was crying a lot mum. and she had a neato water bottle i really liked.
"emer. share."
so i decided to share my stool with her. that ought to shut her up.
and the next night in the tub...
"uale. bulldozer. drive."
today we saw pasquale at nonno's shop. he took me down to see the bulldozer and even let me hold the steering wheel to drive!
"ovel. up!"
then he pulled the lever to make the giant shovel go up into the air. amazing mum!
so there. if a one and half year old can describe his day in 3 words or less... and it contain oodles of colourful meaning then all my embellishing is for not?
i concede. love it. what about you?
